Escaping through drugs

Every drug is an attempt at escaping the pain/boredom. It doesnt change
the reality of the pain, it only delays it, but not for long. Its like
when your Mom says, take out the trash, please, and you say, sure,
but later. Eventually the trash has piled up and it has become so
terrible to smell that no one wants to get anywhere near it. Instead of
having a little fun now, and then taking the trash out, you actually make
everyone else around you feel more pain, and when you come out of it, you
are still where you were only smellier and more tired.
Most of the time, I dont want to take out my trash. Im just tired
alot. My friends, as good as they are, dont have the strength to do it
either because they have their own trash to deal with. We could either
sit and cry about it or add more trash to the heap. We choose crying
together. But that isnt all. We also ask for help. Cause God is the
only one big enough to deal with it all. The hard part is believing that
He wants to deal with it since none of us want to.
He made us so that we could hang out with Him, but it is not much fun to
do that when the trash is piled up and your friends are puking in the
living room. All we ever have to do is ask Him to help us take it out.
No escaping it, cause escaping it is impossible.
If everyone took more drugs to escape the problems of this world, then
everyone would be puking in the living room all at once and someone is
gonna wake up to find the mess. Jesus came so that we could have life
and have it overflowing, not have death, putrid, stinking, rotting,
death, to the rim, but life. Give Him a try. He may ask you to try a
little more, but He will also give you whatever you need to do it, as
well as you get to have the friendship of the only one who will never
leave your head in the toilet while He takes a smoke. God loves you.
Stinking as we all are. Give Him a try.
