When we in Adam rebelled - we in essence said we want life without God - God has withdrawn some of His sustaining power - He holds all things together - if He were to withdraw all His power we wouldn’t exist. The mess now reflects what we wanted. If you don’t want to believe in the God of the Bible, then you’ve admitted you don’t want Him. God has only given us a taste of what life is like without God. Not nice is it. That’s why it’s so important for all of us to be reconcilled to Him.
