We have an enemy who seeks to make us act foolishly.
Christians, through email messages, are unknowningly spreading lies and deceit amongst the brethren.
Among those lies, the television shows that have a Christian emphasis are in no danger of being forced off of the air because of their religious programming.
This claim is something new added to a very old urban legend that should have died decades ago. Ms. OHair died sometime in 1995 when she, one of her sons, and a granddaughter were abducted and murdered.
Fact: FCC Petition RM-2493 --The Lansman-Milam petition was denied by the FCC on August 1, 1975 (nearly 30 years ago).
Fact: The late Madalyn Murray OHair (check the spelling in the email youve received- it is usually misspelled) had nothing to do with FCC Petition RM-2493.

We are not only to be as gentle as doves but also as wise as serpents. Therefore, please do not forward any email chain letters until you have checked the facts. Always try:
For email messages about planets, or asteriods coming at the earth check out NASA and their kid-friendly side site that will explain things
www.nasa.gov
For any messages that contain warnings about your health go to WebMD
www.webmd.com
For any messages that contain abduction warnings check HoaxBusters and Missing Kids
www.missingkids.com
You cannot get credit for forwarding email from anyone including Microsoft, JCrew, or any other company, but you are sending the email addresses of your friends and family onward for email scammers to harvest.
The main thing is to check out all claims before sending anything. Plus you should never just forward, but copy and paste the text into a new message and use your BCC field (blind carbon copy) so that the recievers will not get each others addresses.
